About Me
Being a doula lets me be on the support team of a women in one of the most vulnerable moments of her life. While pregnancy and birth are amazing in their entirety, I especially love being witness to the space from transition to birth. Watching the human body go through something so great and unimaginable is a sacred privilege. I strongly believe that all women should have access to the guidance they desire.
I have spent my career working in non-profit youth work. Working with all ages, up until high school graduates, has given me many once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Most of all, it has taught me that people always need someone to support them. That is why I decided to pursue my goals of becoming a birth doula. Helping those in need of support lies deep within my heart and soul, and helping women of all cultures speaks true to what I believe in.
I consider myself a constant student, a nature soul, and a family girl. Informal education can be as important, if not more, than formal education. It's the day-to-day information and lessons that we get to enjoy and learn from. My favorite thing to teach others is about spirituality in nature. Learning to look around and see what is already there holds much power.

Becoming A Doula
When I first heard the word "Doula", I was so intrigued to learn more. I read books, watched movies, and talked to all my friends about my new finding; I even decided to do a whole project in my sophomore year in college. A few years passed by, and I kept telling myself that this is what I want to do. Well, finally in January 2017, I took a leap of faith and completed my doula workshop through DONA. The other women in the class, including the teacher, inspired my love for becoming a doula that much more. March 5, 2017 was my first baby I helped bring into the world, and there's no stopping me now!
